Mobile Phone Policy in Automobile
The use of mobile phones while driving an automobile carries an innate threat. It can distract the driver to lose his focus and attention on the road. Recognizing this danger, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) issued a regulation prohibiting the use of cell phones while driving within Metro Manila.  Liquigaz Philippines Corp., together with all our employees is committed to follow and abide this new rule.

We recognize that road travelers and motorists are sometimes in unavoidable circumstances; they need to attend to calls and use their cell phones while driving. However, in good safety practice drivers are required to pull over and park their vehicles before they can use the mobile phones.

In support of safety driving practices, Liquigaz is giving Safety Driving Orientation to employees using company-issued vehicles. In addition, blue tooth / hands free device is provided to aid the requirement of the employees answering important calls. We also encourage drivers to use other safety functions of mobile phones; voice mail, call divert, etc. to ensure full attention while driving.

Essential aspect of safe driving should not be comprised even if hands-free device is provided. Everybody must recognize the there is still an inherent danger on the use of cellular phones even though hands-free is activated.

This policy shall take effect immediately. Please be guided accordingly and let's all take part in driving safely.
