LPC employees participate in coastal cleanup
The International Coastal Clean Up (ICC) is a global effort held annually every third Saturday of September. People around the world gather on beaches, coasts, rivers, waterways and underwater to remove trash and record information on the debris collected.
Liquigaz held its own coastal cleanup last September 20, 2014 led by its employees from the Bataan Terminal. Employees from different departments came together to Marveles Bataan to participate in the event.
Among the wastes found were toothbrushes, slippers, umbrellas and handbags to the ubiquitous food wrappers and plastic bags.
Liquigaz bags Hall of Fame award
Liquigaz Philippines Corporation bags the Hall of Fame award at the recently concluded NLEXcellence Safety Awards held last November 13, 2014 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Quezon City.
The NLEXcellence Awards recognizes NLEX-user companies under three categories which are Vehicle Quality, Driver's Professionalism and Company Operational Excellence. Liquigaz is proud to be an awardee for these different categories since 2011.
Liquigaz is now one of the elite group of companies being recognized by NLEXcellence Awards because of its efforts to be role models in the transport industry for making road safety a part of its company culture and operations.
Liquigaz holds annual fire fighting seminar
Fire fighting is one of the skills Liquigaz personnel must possess since they work in places suchas terminals, hubs, and depots. It is the company’s priority to ensure that it’s employees operate in the safest work environment possible.
Last April 7-8, Liquigaz held its annual fire fighting seminar at Maritime Academy of Asia Pacific Bataan (MAAP). The participants came from different segments of Liquigaz operations which included the operators, drivers and security guards.
Participants learned skills such as the proper handling of fire hose and fire extinguishers, fighting LPG-produced fire and burning kerosene, the assessment of an emergency and use of effective communication.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Jerry Figueroa & Charlie Estrada. Maritime Academy of Asia Pacific (MAAP) is Liquigaz’s partner in giving refresher course and training to its employees.
